The Maternity and Early Childhood Foundation will host “Pathways To Positive Parenting,” a day-long training seminar on Thursday, December 6th at New York State United Teachers in Latham, New York!
The seminar will feature a keynote address from Dr. Ira Chasnoff entitled “Drugs, Alcohol, Pregnancy and the Growing Child: Implications for Early Childhood.” Participants will have their choice of workshops in the afternoon: “Resilience” presented by Prevent Child Abuse of New York or “Motivational Interviewing: Supporting and Guiding Infant Mental Health” presented by Cheryl Lynn Martin, MA RN CASAC.
The cost for the seminar is $25 per person and includes coffee and lunch.
Social Work and Licensed Mental Health Counselor Continuing Education Credits (3 Credit Hours) are available (pending approval) at no additional cost through partnerships with University at Albany School of Social Welfare and School of Education.
